Beaded Jewelry

Pink and blue necklace with matching bracelet

This necklace was made with three different brands of beads that are blue and pink. Some are a kind of cracked glass, some are blue with a pink coating, and then I used translucent pink beads with blue liners for spacers. I like to wear it with my pink cardigan, which I've included in the photo.

(Yes, I occasionally wear pink, if it has a blue undertone. Generally fuschia. It goes well with my Winter skin tone.)

There are three strands in the necklace as well as the bracelet. I just laid them out on a beading tray, making each of the three strands symmetrical and matching them to each other. I just saw the cracked blue and pink beads at A.C.Moore and got inspired. I had the translucent beads from a independent seller (Lance Oszko Beads) and found the other beads at JoAnn's.

Brass frogs and miasma stones necklace

The stones in this necklace remind me of swamps and marshes, but not in a bad way. The colors just seem to complement the frogs so well because of that association. Don't forget to click the images for a larger version.

Lapis and silver

This necklace just made itself from a collection of
beads I found at a bead show in Marlborugh, Ma.

Purple crackle four-strand beads

This necklace was inspired by a four-loop clasp I got at a bead
expo and the purple, crackly-finish beads that I found at
Jo-Ann Fabrics (or whatever that store's calling itself these
days). The other purple beads are also mostly from Jo-Ann's.

Turquoise charm bracelet

I made this bracelet for a friend. I got the bracelet at JoAnn's, and then I put a bunch of silver and turqouise beads on head pins. Each of the combinations has at least a pair, if not more, and then I played with the spacing until I felt I had found a good balance.

Shell earring becomes a necklace

A friend once gave me a pile of odds-and-ends of jewelry. I took an earring that had three shells on it and turned it into a delicate necklace. Using head pins, I made beaded spacers between even lengths of gold chain, and hung the earring as a pendant at the bottom.

Steampunk necklace 1 - pocketwatch and wristwatch

Steampunk is a blend of Victorian and technology. I've gotten interested recently in this popular costuming fad. This is my first experiment in this genre.
